We are excited to announce that AstraQ Cyber Defence Pvt Ltd has been selected among the top 6 teams for the prestigious NCIIPC Startup India AI Grand Challenge under PS-4: Retrieval Augmented Generation based Question and Answering System. Out of 103 total submissions, only 15 teams were invited to present at IIT Delhi, and we are proud to be among the final 6 innovators recognized for excellence and ingenuity.
About the Challenge
The NCIIPC Startup India AI Grand Challenge aims to promote cutting-edge solutions addressing critical national needs through deep tech innovation. The challenge invited submissions from startups, researchers, and tech pioneers to solve complex AI problem statements designed to strengthen capabilities in areas such as cybersecurity, natural language understanding, and advanced information systems.
Under Problem Statement 4 (PS-4) - Retrieval Augmented Generation based Question and Answering System participants were tasked with building an intelligent AI system that combines high-quality information retrieval with generative reasoning to answer queries accurately over complex datasets. This challenge integrates the latest advancements in semantic search, context-aware AI responses, and real-time knowledge synthesis.
Our Approach and Solution
Our team developed a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) based question-answering system tailored to deliver contextual, precise, and explainable answers from large and diverse document repositories. Key aspects of our solution include:
- Semantic Document Retrieval: Leveraging vector embeddings to identify relevant content with high contextual similarity.
